- CID_SW Quick Set-Up
-
- 1. Create a subdirectory under your Main Wildcat directory named CID_SW.
-
- 2. Copy all CID_SW files beginning with CID into this subdirectory.
-
- 3. Create a plain ASCII text file named LOGON.CID with the drive and path
- to the new CID_SW subdirectory - EXAMPLE: C:\WILDCAT\CID_SW\
- Don't forget the trailing backslash! This must be in your Main Wildcat
- directory.
-
- 4. Depending on your situation, install LOGON.WCX or LOGON1.WCX in your
- Main Wildcat directory. If you use a custom LOGON.WCX that allows other
- .WCX files to be run, use LOGON1.WCX.
- Setup your custom LOGON.WCX to run LOGON1.WCX by renaming it or ????
- If you use the standard LOGON.WCX, rename or save the original and
- install the LOGON.WCX that came with this package in your Main Wildcat
- directory.
-
- 5. Edit the CID_SW.CFG to match your system or DELETE it from the CID_SW
- subdirectory. If you delete it, you must run MAKEMENU and setup an
- option on one of your menus to RUN a .WCX program. Assign
- C:\WILDCAT\CID_SW\CID_SW.WCX as the program to run. Sign on your system
- in LOCAL mode and select your menu item to run the program. Follow the
- prompts and the configuration file will be created for you.
- [If a configuration file is found, you will NOT be given the option!]
-
- 6. Edit any .TXT and .BBS files in CID_SW subdirectory to match your
- CID_SW.CFG options and to suit your preferences.
-
- 7. Fire up your BBS and sit back and let CID_SW validate your NEWUSERS for
- you, deny access to users not supplying the phone number they are calling
- from and write validation messages and requests for correct phone numbers
- from your users.
-
- 8. Send registration fee before Feburary 2, 1996!
